1. Who we are

This website, monjur.com, is run by Monjur, Inc. ("Monjur," "we," "us"). Monjur works with Scott & Scott, LLP, a Texas law firm.

All legal services are provided by Scott & Scott, LLP, a Texas law firm. When you subscribe to Monjur you become a client of the firm under its engagement terms. Monjur provides the platform, Pilot, and account services, and does not practice law. [[RJ1: confirm the entity language]]

Our address is 550 Reserve Street, Suite 190 PMB 80, Southlake, Texas 76092.

The person in charge of protecting personal information is our Privacy Officer, Monjur, Inc. You can reach the Privacy Officer at inquiries@monjur.com or 214-999-0080. [[RJ3: name the person; recommend creating privacy@monjur.com and using it here]]

This policy covers this website and the information you give us through it. If you are a Monjur customer, your subscription agreement and the firm's engagement terms also apply.

2. What we collect

Information you give us in forms

When you request a demo, register for a workshop, ask for an MSA review, or contact us, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that is your name, work email, phone number, company, company website, business type, annual managed-services revenue, and number of endpoints you manage.

SMS opt-in

When you opt in to text messages, we collect your name, mobile number, and a record of your consent (that you checked the box, the consent wording, and when).

The Monjur Minute

When you subscribe to our weekly email, we collect your email address, plus the page you subscribed from and your IP address.

Workshop and webinar registration

When you register for a workshop or webinar, we also send your name and email to Zoom so Zoom can register you and send you the link to join.

Demo on demand

If you watch the video on our demo-on-demand page and you are already in our records, we note on your contact record that you watched, how far you got, when you watched, and the campaign link you arrived from. Our team uses this to prepare for your call. We never create a new record from watching.

Calls with our team

We may record and transcribe calls with our team to keep accurate notes and improve our service. [[RJ11: sales calls are recorded today; confirm the wording and whether callers are told at the start of each call]]

Information collected automatically

When you visit, your browser and the tools in section 3 send us and our providers your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you move through them, and the page that referred you. Our own cookies keep the campaign tags (UTM tags) and ad click IDs (Google's gclid and Meta's fbclid) from the link you arrived on for 90 days.

Information from other sources

To qualify business leads, we add business details to contact records from business data providers and public sources, such as your company's website, size, and role. [[RJ10: confirm the categories of enrichment sources; this policy names the category, not the vendors]]

Customers using Pilot

If you are a customer, Pilot (our AI legal assistant) receives the questions and documents you give it. Your inputs are stored to provide the service and are not used to train models. [[RJ8: confirm with engineering]]

What we do not ask for

We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, health information, or precise location through this website. This site is not directed to children under 13.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Pixels and tags are bits of code that send information about your visit to the company that runs them. The table lists every cookie and tool this site uses, who runs it, why, and how long it lasts.

How consent works here. If you visit from California, Quebec, the EU or EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, nothing outside the Necessary category runs until you choose Accept. Everywhere else, these tools run by default and you can turn off any category at any time from Consent preferences. Your choice is stored in the cc_cookie cookie for 182 days. If you later submit a form, your choice is also saved on your contact record.

Google Tag Manager is the container that loads the Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Reddit tags.

Session replay. Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with our pages (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and what appears on screen) and builds heatmaps from those recordings. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not recorded. Clarity does not run on the demo request, SMS opt-in, or MSA review pages.

Other sites. Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Microsoft can collect information about your activity on this site and on other sites over time, and use it to show you ads.

Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to you. We use what you send us to answer your request, schedule your demo or review, and register you for workshops.
  • To provide the service. For customers, we use account and usage information to run Pilot and deliver the legal services the firm provides.
  • To market to you, with a way out. We send the Monjur Minute and other marketing email to people who signed up or asked to hear from us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and improve. Analytics and session replay show us which pages work and where people get stuck.
  • To measure and target advertising. Ad tools tell us which ads lead to a form, and let us show ads to people who visited, unless you opt out.
  • To qualify leads. We combine what you tell us with business details from other sources to decide which team member should follow up.
  • To protect the site. Server logs and bot checks keep out spam and attacks.
  • To comply with law. We keep records the law requires, such as consent records for text messages, and respond to lawful requests.

5. How we share information

Service providers

We share information with companies that run parts of this site and our business for us: Vercel (hosting), HubSpot (forms, email, and contact records), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Fonts, YouTube), Microsoft (Clarity), Storylane (product demo), Vimeo (video), Sanity (images and video files), Zoom (workshop registration), ipify (IP lookup), and business data providers (lead research).

Advertising platforms

Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Microsoft Advertising receive information about your visit through their tags, and Meta also receives form and demo request events from our server. Under California law this is "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. You can opt out of this sharing at any time from Consent preferences, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. [[RJ4: confirm]]

The law firm

Monjur and Scott & Scott, LLP share information with each other so the firm can provide legal services to customers and follow up on requests for legal help.

Legal process and safety

We disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Monjur, the firm, our customers, or others.

Business transfers

If Monjur is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Text messaging

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Your choices

  • Consent preferences. Use the Consent preferences link in the footer of every page to accept or turn off analytics, advertising, and functional cookies. This is also how you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information).
  • Global Privacy Control. We treat a GPC signal as an opt-out of sharing and targeted advertising, in every region. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
  • Do Not Track. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals other than GPC.
  • Email. Click unsubscribe in any marketing email, or email us. We stop within 10 business days.
  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to stop. Reply HELP for help. See SMS program terms.
  • Ad platform settings. You can also control ads directly with each platform: Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Browser controls. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Some parts of the site may not work without them.

7. Your rights by region

California

If you live in California, you have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have about you;
  • Delete it;
  • Correct it;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • Limit our use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it through this site);
  • Not be treated differently for using these rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. We share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in section 5; you can opt out from Consent preferences or with GPC. Monjur does not currently meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to a business, but we honor these rights for everyone who asks.

How to ask. Email inquiries@monjur.com or call 214-999-0080. We confirm your identity by matching what you send us to what we hold, usually your email address. An authorized agent can ask for you with your signed permission; we may ask you to confirm the request directly. We respond within 45 days.

Texas

If you live in Texas, you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information, access it, correct it, delete it, get a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling. Ask the same way as above. We respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer or emailing us with "Appeal" in the subject line. We answer appeals within 60 days. If you disagree with the result, you can contact the Texas Attorney General.

Canada

If you are in Canada, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, and challenge how we handle it. If you are in Quebec, you also have the right to be told what technologies identify, locate, or profile you (they are off until you accept them, as described in section 3), to ask us to stop sharing or to de-index your information, and to receive your information in a structured, common format. Our person in charge of protecting personal information is the Privacy Officer named in section 1. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Everywhere else

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. Email inquiries@monjur.com.

8. Retention, security, and other terms

How long we keep information

  • Prospect and contact records: while we are in touch with you, and up to 3 years after your last interaction with us. [[RJ9: confirm the period]]

  • Text message consent and opt-out records: 4 years after you opt out. [[RJ9: confirm the period]]
  • Session recordings: 30 days in Microsoft Clarity. [[RJ9: confirm the Clarity project setting]]
  • Server logs: the short period our hosting provider keeps them. [[RJ9: confirm the Vercel log retention on our plan]]
  • Cookies: the lifetimes listed in the table.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and we and our providers process information in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there, and may be accessible to courts and authorities under United States law.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the "Last updated" date at the top and describe what changed. For material changes, we also show a notice banner on this website before the change takes effect.

9. SMS program terms
